STEMWARE |
Personalized Clear Fluted Stemware Made of Plastic
Ever since man became so artistically inclined that he needed to experiment with glass, he began to experiment with shapes and forms. Soon came a time when he decided to experiment with wine glasses of different shapes and sizes. A wine glass basically has a design, which brings out the aroma, the taste, and the feel of the wine while wetting the palate. This gave rise to clear fluted stemware.
Stemware is another name for a wine glass, especially as you hold it by the stem with two fingers if you are extremely elegant. There is a bowl on the top of the glass. The stem is the place where you hold it from in the middle, sometimes cupping the bowl, stylishly to warm the drink. The bottom part is called the foot. It is the portion which rests upon any surface. The bowl has to be wide so that it can contain the liqueur or wine. Stemware should have a very sturdy stem. There was a time when people used to drink toasts in Champagne to the "Queen" in Victorian times. Afterwards, they used to finish the toast, snap the glass stem and then throw the glass into the fireplace so that it could not be used again. Luckily, we are not so wasteful. We prefer to drink our champagne in plastic champagne flutes! Under no circumstances can this stemware be broken or smashed. Plastic stemware comes now in the shape of any wine glass, be it a champagne flute, a burgundy flute or any other wine flute. Because plastic is about as transparent as glass, clear fluted stemware is getting to replace glass stemware slowly and steadily.
